Roshan Kumar's journey from Nepal to the U.S. began in 2011, culminating in his entrepreneurial endeavors. After earning a degree in Accounting and Finance from Idaho State University in 2016, he worked in customer service roles before founding Himalayan Grocery and Craft Store in 2017, which provided local access to Indian and Nepali products. In August 2018, Roshan launched Himalayan Flavor in Pocatello, introducing authentic Indian and Nepali cuisine, quickly becoming a local favorite. The restaurant expanded to Logan in 2021 and Idaho Falls in 2022, the latter becoming a cultural hub with events like live music nights and a special appearance by acclaimed chef Santosh Shah in 2024. His contributions earned him the Idaho State University Young Alumni Award in 2021. As a board member of the ISU Alumni Association, he is committed to giving back. Roshan's story reflects resilience, connecting communities through food, music, and culture.
